Channels & reach

What is benx doing right now?

benx still uploads to YouTube almost every day. In fall 2026, his channel is mostly about his Minecraft project “Minecraft Feinde” (“Minecraft Enemies”), Bedwars rounds, Roblox simulators and Among Us. At the end of September 2026, “Benx und der Schatten über Polarpola”, the ninth Rabaukien novel, came out, and according to the official participant list benx is also part of Craft Attack 14. How much Minecraft is in his current videos is shown by our analysis of his uploads:

Who is benx? The key facts

benx grew up in the area between Leipzig and Halle (Saale). He has been making YouTube videos since June 2014, which makes him one of the most experienced German Minecraft creators. What sets him apart: after passing the first state law exam, he deliberately didn’t continue his law degree so he could devote himself fully to his passion for gaming and content creation – a decision that paid off.

With his distinctive narrating voice and uploads almost every day, he has established himself as one of the most reliable German gaming creators.

The early days (2014)

benx launched his YouTube channel in June 2014 under the name “DoctorBenx” with his first Minecraft video, “Willkommen bei DoctorBenx” (“Welcome to DoctorBenx”). His inspiration was PXLWLF (now justin), who encouraged him to start on YouTube. What began as a hobby alongside his law studies quickly turned into his main occupation.

In his early years, benx also experimented with Call of Duty content. But he found his true calling in the blocky world of Minecraft.

The second channel

Alongside his main channel, benx ran a second channel for a while under the name “Benson”, where he uploaded reaction videos and Fortnite content. Today his video descriptions point to the second channel Bensonheimer. Every now and then, benx also includes reaction content on his main channel.

Why is benx so successful?

• Authenticity and approachability: Despite his success, benx has stayed down-to-earth. His narrating voice and calm style make him likable, and on the podcast he shows his personal side too.
• Consistency: More than 11 years of almost daily uploads – his Rabauken can count on new content arriving.
• Creativity: Whether it’s Minecraft Freunde, his own books or a podcast – benx is constantly trying new things.
• A strong community: The “Rabauken” get a say, for example by deciding the size of TNT traps with their likes.

Well-known projects & series

Varo 4

benx reached an important milestone by taking part in Varo 4, where he competed as a team with Pixelwolf. Although they didn’t win, the project made him well known in the German Minecraft community.

Lucky Blocks & Minecraft Walls

More successful formats followed, including Lucky Blocks Prison, in which teams have to escape from a cage and battle each other in PvP fights, and Minecraft Walls, which he won in 2023.

Minecraft Freunde: the mega project

On January 29, 2023, benx and LOGO launched one of his most ambitious projects: Minecraft Freunde (German for “Minecraft Friends”). In this long-running project, he and other YouTubers build a shared Minecraft town that they play in for months on end. The participants include:

• AwesomeElina
• Ebru
• Logo
• Chaosflo44
• IsyCheesy
• NotGambo
• Fabo
• Raynxcole
• Fabi

In Minecraft Freunde, benx built his own “Kanzlertower” (“chancellor tower”) and was elected chancellor, which allowed him to introduce his own tax system. The project is known for long videos, often several hours long, in which the creators build together, prank each other and set up epic TNT traps whose size the community gets to decide with likes.

After 128 episodes, benx wrapped up the first Minecraft Freunde project and started Minecraft Freunde 2 in February 2024.

Minecraft Feinde (2026)

In fall 2026, much of his channel revolves around the project “Minecraft Feinde” (“Minecraft Enemies”): videos like “Ich BANNE ERSTEN SPIELER aus PROJEKT!” (“I’m banning the first player from the project!”) or “So gewinne ich Minecraft Feinde” (“How I win Minecraft Feinde”) show that things are a lot more competitive this time – with traps, weapons and bans.

Craft Attack

benx played in Craft Attack 12 and 13 and, according to craftattack.one, is also on the participant list for Craft Attack 14.

The Rabaukien books: benx as a bestselling author

One of the most remarkable developments in benx’s career is his success as a bestselling author. Inspired by his Minecraft universe, he and his co-authors have created an extensive book series set in the imaginative world of Rabaukien – a Minecraft-inspired world full of adventure, magic and humor. His publisher promotes him as a SPIEGEL bestselling author. The books are published in German.

The novel series (9 volumes)

1. “Benx und die Hexen der Bataquampa” (roughly “Benx and the Witches of Bataquampa”, 2021)
The first book in the series was written together with his uncle, Thomas Rackwitz. The story is about benx’s dream of becoming a miner and the magical rainbow sword that changes his life. Especially touching: according to Quotenmeter.de, benx donated his share of the proceeds (about $30,000) to a children’s and youth hospice near Halle (Saale), while his uncle was able to pay for his wedding with his share.

After the novels, benx expanded his universe with a comic. The story: someone has tampered with Rabaukien’s timeline, benx’s parents vanish into thin air, and the world is about to sink into chaos. benx, Elina and Ebru have to travel back in time to undo the disaster. The comic was written by the authors Aljoscha Jelinek and Matthias Kempke and illustrated by the illustrator vanlau.

All the books are published by Community Editions and are aimed at children aged 8–12. The colorful illustrations by vanlau (Monique Krüger) give the stories a special visual quality.

“Die Drei Rabauken” – the podcast

Since 2023, benx, AwesomeElina and Ebru have hosted the podcast “Die Drei Rabauken” (roughly “The Three Rascals”), which is available in German on all the major podcast platforms as well as on YouTube. On the podcast, the three YouTubers show a completely different side of themselves and talk about their lives, their experiences and gaming, but also about personal topics and everyday challenges. As of October 2026, new episodes still come out every week.

The most popular formats include:

• “Wer würde eher?” (“Who would rather?”) – the three answer questions about themselves
• Personal stories – from embarrassing moments to special encounters (e.g. with Thomas Müller)
• Gaming topics – Minecraft Freunde, GTA 6, YouTuber drama
• Lifestyle topics – building a house, cars, taxes, vacations
• Unpopular opinions – the community shares its controversial views

benx’s gaming setup

benx doesn’t say which mouse, keyboard or microphone he uses – not in his video descriptions, not on Twitch and not in his shop. Lists online that claim otherwise don’t name a source, so we don’t list any gear here.

Merch & fan gear

benx runs his own online shop at benx.shop, where fans can buy merch such as T-shirts, hoodies and seasonal boxes (in October 2026, for example, a Halloween box). The most popular fan items, though, are his Rabaukien books – great for young fans who’d rather read than watch videos and who read German. Volume 1 is a good place to start:

Friends, crew & collabs

A big part of benx’s success lies in his close friendship with AwesomeElina and Ebru. The three have known each other for many years and have made countless Minecraft projects and videos together – and, of course, their podcast. Elina and Ebru are at benx’s side in the books, too.

Other important companions:

• PXLWLF (now justin) – encouraged benx to start on YouTube, his teammate in Varo 4
• LOGO – co-founder of Minecraft Freunde
• Chaosflo44, IsyCheesy, NotGambo, Fabo, Raynxcole and Fabi – fellow players in Minecraft Freunde
• Craft Attack – since Season 12, benx has played on the shared server with many other German creators

Private life

benx keeps his private life largely private. What’s on record: he grew up in the area between Halle (Saale) and Leipzig, studied law up to the first state law exam and donated his share of the first book’s earnings to a children’s and youth hospice. He mostly shares personal insights on the podcast “Die Drei Rabauken”.

Income & net worth

How much benx earns isn’t public – there are no reliable figures. Estimates from stats websites rely on rough assumptions about ad revenue and aren’t a solid source. His income streams, however, are easy to see:

• YouTube ads on his almost daily videos
• Books: the Rabaukien series, now 10 titles strong
• Merch: his own shop, benx.shop
• Podcast “Die Drei Rabauken” and occasional Twitch streams

Is benx kid-friendly?

• Age: suitable from around age 8. benx avoids crude language and focuses on humor, suspense and creative challenges.
• Does benx swear? Hardly ever – his videos are among the most family-friendly in the German Minecraft scene.
• Pranks and clickbait: Titles like “Ich BETRÜGE HEIMLICH …” (“I’m secretly cheating …”) or “Ich BANNE ERSTEN SPIELER” (“I’m banning the first player”) sound more dramatic than the videos are – still, it’s worth talking to kids about pranks and sensational titles.
• Roblox and simulators: Besides Minecraft, benx plays lots of Roblox simulators – more in the benx profile on BloxControl, our Roblox guide. If your kids play Roblox themselves, talk about in-game purchases; BloxControl also explains what Robux are.
• Advertising: Almost every video description links to his shop and his latest book. Talk about spending habits early on.
• Books: The Rabaukien series is aimed at children aged 8–12 and teaches values such as friendship, courage and teamwork.
