What is BastiGHG doing right now?

In October 2026, BastiGHG is back in Craft Attack – season 14 started after a year-long break. His hardcore and challenge formats keep running alongside it. Our analysis of his uploads shows how much of it is Minecraft:

What makes BastiGHG special?

BastiGHG didn’t become famous overnight. His success story is the result of more than 12 years of hard work, authenticity and a passion for Minecraft.

• Creative challenge formats: From speed survival to handicap runs – ideal for picking up efficient routes and tactics.
• Live-show energy: On Twitch he is one of the biggest German-speaking gaming channels; event projects (e.g. Craft seasons) are especially good live.
• Strong brand: His own merch shop and in-game cosmetics (Badlion) strengthen the community’s bond with him.
• Staying anonymous: He never shows his face; instead you see his mouse and keyboard, which keeps the focus on the gameplay.

💡 BastiGHG’s secret to success 💡

There was no single viral video that made BastiGHG a star. His success is the result of years of hard work, consistent content and building a loyal community. From 2012 to today he has worked his way up step by step – an inspiring example of perseverance.

Known projects & series

• The beginnings: In 2012, Basti started the channel “GermanHungerGamesHD” with his friend Patrick, named after the Minecraft mode Hunger Games. In 2014 it became “KompetenzGHG”; later Basti continued the channel on his own as BastiGHG – “GHG” still stands for “German Hunger Games”.
• Live every day: He has streamed on Twitch every single day since January 14, 2016; in January 2026 he celebrated ten years of daily streaming.
• Varo: Austrian creator VeniCraft brought him into Varo. He didn’t win Varo 3, but he won Varo 4 together with VeniCraft.
• Craft Attack: According to the participant list on craft-attack.info, BastiGHG has played in every season since season 6 (6 to 14). In Craft Attack 13, his secret underground base with hidden entrances and camera surveillance amazed other streamers.
• Challenges: His trademark is long Minecraft challenges with custom rules. One example from 2026: in a modded world where blocks, mobs and animals drop nothing, it took him around 113 hours to reach the Ender Dragon – finding a single diamond block alone took about 60 hours.

All of his streams and videos are in German.

Is BastiGHG kid-friendly?

• Tone & pace: Fast, loud, funny; a positive focus on in-game tasks rather than dwelling on problematic content.
• Age guidance: From around age 10 – especially suitable if kids already know how livestreams work (chat, emotes, spontaneous moments). Keep in mind that his streams and videos are in German.
• Learning potential: Planning, resource management, perseverance after failed attempts. Tip: set small “challenge goals” together and agree clearly on screen time.

BastiGHG’s reach compared (German Minecraft creators)

Bottom line: On Twitch, BastiGHG is at the very top of the German Minecraft scene; on YouTube he is in the upper tier (behind Paluten, but clearly ahead of Spark & Gomme).

Getting started: what should you watch first?

• YouTube: Highlight compilations of his big challenge series give the best overview of his humor and skill.
• Twitch: Tune in live when events or Craft projects are running – that’s where his style works best.

BastiGHG’s gaming setup

Instead of his face, BastiGHG shows his hands, mouse and keyboard on camera – so people often ask about his setup. The list above comes from his own video description, where the gear is labeled as an ad for his sponsor ASUS.

Popular BastiGHG merch

You’ll find the official BastiGHG shop here. His plush dolls are especially popular.

Friends, crew & collabs

Income & net worth

How much BastiGHG earns or owns is not public – there are no reliable figures. Payout lists did surface in the 2021 Twitch data leak, but they only covered subscription income and their authenticity was never fully confirmed. Net worth estimates online vary widely and cite no trustworthy source. His sources of income are:

• Twitch: subscriptions, Bits and ads in his daily streams.
• YouTube: ad revenue and channel memberships.
• Sponsors: labeled partnerships, e.g. with ASUS (see gaming setup).
• Merch & cosmetics: bastighg.shop (including plush toys) and in-game cosmetics via Badlion.

Questions about BastiGHG

How old is BastiGHG? When is BastiGHG’s birthday?

BastiGHG was born on August 5, 1997, which makes him 29 years old.

Is BastiGHG’s content suitable for kids?

Mostly yes – fast-paced stream humor, competitive, with no problematic content. Our recommendation: from around age 10, with a parent watching along for the first few streams.

Where is BastiGHG most active?

Live on Twitch; YouTube collects the highlights and challenge formats.

Is there official BastiGHG merch?

Yes, at bastighg.shop; there are also cosmetics via the Badlion Client.

Who manages BastiGHG? Which network manages him?

GetHero (Webedia), which looks after gaming creators in Germany, among others.

What does BastiGHG’s face look like?

To this day there has been no verified, official face reveal by BastiGHG on his own channels. Clips, Shorts and memes claiming a “leak” keep circulating – these are usually clickbait, rumors or jokes; the media have also reported that he deliberately keeps his face private.
Bottom line: if that ever changes, it will be clearly recognizable and officially announced on his own profiles (YouTube/Twitch/socials). Until then: there is no publicly confirmed picture of his face.

How do I get the BastiGHG skin, including wings and cloak?

You can only (legally) use the skin itself if you recreate it yourself or use a freely available fan version. For wings/cloaks, the community mostly uses cosmetics clients such as Badlion, Feather or Lunar: install the client → buy cosmetic items in the shop if needed → activate wings/cape in your client profile. Important: these cosmetics are only visible to players using the same client; in vanilla Minecraft or OptiFine you won’t see them (OptiFine has its own capes).

How often does he usually stream each week, and how long are his streams?

It varies depending on projects and events. Typically several times a week, often 2–5 hours per stream; during big events (e.g. Craft projects) sometimes longer. The most reliable sources are his Twitch schedule, the activity feed and VOD lengths – that’s where you’ll see his current streaming frequency.

What can kids learn from BastiGHG (planning, resource management, teamwork)?

Planning: setting goals, optimizing routes, weighing priorities (gear first? food? tools?).
Resource management: farming materials efficiently, keeping the inventory tidy, judging risk vs. reward.
Teamwork & communication: splitting up tasks, clear callouts, fair play – especially easy to see during events.
Tip for parents: agree on a small weekly goal together (“A safe base + a farm by Sunday”).

What keyboard and mouse does BastiGHG use?

According to his own setup list (video description, October 2026), BastiGHG plays with the ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition mouse, the ASUS ROG Azoth 96 HE keyboard and the ASUS ROG Sheath BLK LTD mouse pad – see his gaming setup above. ASUS is his sponsor.

How does BastiGHG handle advertising and brand partnerships?

Standard for bigger creators: clear labeling (e.g. “Werbung” or “Anzeige”, the German terms for “ad”), affiliate links in descriptions, their own merch shop. For BastiGHG: merch and occasional partnerships are part of the business – the content usually stays focused on challenges and events. Rule of thumb: if discount codes or links show up → it’s advertising.

How can you support BastiGHG in a meaningful way (sub, membership, merch, a fair comment culture)?

A Twitch sub (or Prime sub), a YouTube channel membership
Merch from the official shop
Share VODs/clips, comment constructively, respect the chat rules
For giveaways/partnerships: take part honestly, no spam – that helps keep the community healthy.
